What is the Twist, exactly?
A heavy-duty, solid stainless steel kitchen tool, now available in two styles. The Twist Classic is built for shredding — chicken, pulled pork, and beef. The Twist Heirloom is the premium tier, with true cutting blades for shredding, slicing, and prepping salads and produce. Both are the newest tools from The Little Kitchen Company.
What's the difference between the Classic and the Heirloom?
The Classic shreds — its blades are fully enclosed, so it's built for fast, everyday shredding of meat. The Heirloom cuts — its blades are genuinely sharp precision edges, individually hand-sharpened, so it handles everything the Classic does plus slicing and salad prep. Heirloom is the premium tier, priced and built accordingly.
How is it different from the plastic shredders out there?
Most shredding claws on the market are lightweight plastic, which flexes, cracks, and eventually snaps under real use. The Twist — Classic or Heirloom — is solid stainless steel from end to end — no flex, no crack, no replacing it every year.
Is the design protected?
Yes. The Twist Classic is patent-pending worldwide, with utility and design patent applications filed across 12 jurisdictions. The Twist Heirloom is also patent-pending, with a utility patent application filed — it's the only tool of its kind in the world.
Is there a warranty?
Yes — the Twist is backed by our lifetime warranty, the same as the rest of our stainless steel tools. If it ever fails to perform the way it should, we'll make it right.
Why is it called "the Twist"?
It's built around a simple twisting motion that makes shredding chicken, pulled pork, and beef fast and nearly effortless — no fighting with two clumsy claws. The Heirloom keeps that same motion, with cutting blades in place of shredding blades.
When does each one ship?
The Twist Classic is available for preorder now, with shipping expected in December 2026. The Twist Heirloom is also open for preorder, with shipping estimated for January 2027. Ordering now secures your spot in our first production batch of either style.
Does it make a good gift?
